Boys soccer team suffers tough loss to Digital

The Patterson boys soccer team faced Digital Harbor at Digital on September 13.

Patterson was playing with a line of 4 defenders, 4 midfielders and 2 attackers. In the first 5 minutes, Digital scored the first goal of the game. After Digital scored, Patterson was playing more seriously. They improved their defense. They did a great job defending.

In the second half, the referee pitched a penalty against Patterson. Digital scored the second goal of the game. After the goal, the coach changed the position of the players. Then Patterson midfielder, Patrick, scored a goal. The result was that Digital won the game 2-1.

Gomez Gerber exclaimed, “We lost the match, because the referee called a penalty against Patterson.”

Coach Dan Callahan exclaimed, “For the next match we need to be tougher in the middle of the field and to be more organized on defense.”

Even though Patterson lost against Digital, they did a great job playing, showing their happiness. They were playing hard and together.
